Emergency incident at Whispering Wall, north of Adelaide, involves adult and child; Medstar helicopter responding




Emergency services are responding to a serious incident involving an adult and child at a popular tourist attraction north of Adelaide.

Emergency services were called to the Whispering Wall at Williamstown at 4:30pm.

The Medstar helicopter was deployed, as were ambulances and firefighting crews.

The Whispering Wall is in the south of the Barossa Valley, north of Adelaide.

It is the retaining wall for the Barossa Reservoir and attracts tourists for its unique acoustics.

Whispers made on one side of the wall can be heard from up to 100m away.

A statement from SA Police said more information would be made available when it was known.
