Remote places are what Park Ranger Carly loves most about her job.
She is inspired by the spectacular remote parts of Queensland, and living and working with like-minded (great) people!
For someone who, as a full-time (Army) reservist, was advised to ‘get serious about her career’, Carly has done that and more!
She has worked in national parks from the Wet Tropics to Cape York to way out west.
Currently Carly works in Idalia National Park in Queensland’s central west—yep, that’s also pretty remote!
In true ‘bushie’ style, Carly’s top tip for visitors is: ‘Don’t be in a rush to get somewhere! Some of the best spots can be found a bit out of your way and off the main road…’
